Seared Tuna Steak
Ingredients
3 ahi tuna steaks
2 tablespoons from Olives & Grapes Honey Ginger white balsamic vinegar
3 tablespoons from Olives & Grapes Fused Whole Fruit Lemon or Persian Lime-infused olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper to taste
1 Lemon juice and zest
Directions
Mix the lemon juice, Lemon zest, honey ginger white balsamic, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Rub the marinade into the tuna steaks then cover and refrigerate for about 15 minutes.
Heat a heavy-bottomed skillet, preferably cast-iron, over medium-high to high heat. When the pan is hot, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil, remove the tuna steaks from the marinade, and sear them for a minute to a minute and a half on each side (even a little longer if you want the tuna less rare than pictured).
Serve over your choice of salad.
